A community organization providing support and resources for individuals living with mental illness looking to actively participate in the community and its programs.
What Is A Clubhouse?
A Clubhouse is a community-based service dedicated to supporting and empowering people living with mental illness, known as Clubhouse members. Based on the Clubhouse Model of psychosocial rehabilitation, each Clubhouse offers a collaborative, restorative environment where Clubhouse members can recover by gaining access to opportunities for employment, socialization, education, skill development, housing and improved wellness.
Organized around the belief that every individual has something valuable to contribute to society, Clubhouses effectively help people build self- confidence and end the social and economic isolation so often associated with mental illness.
The Story of Odyssey Clubhouse
Odyssey House is a vocational rehabilitation program that promotes the Clubhouse model. Established in 2013, Odyssey house is open to adults living with a severe and persistent mental illness residing in our service area. There are no fees for membership and membership is voluntary and without time limits. The Clubhouse creates a structure to develop meaningful relationships through the Work-Ordered Day and social programs. Odyssey House is a place to experience positive changes with the support of others and an opportunity to use and develop personal talents and potential. We focus on your abilities in the recovery process.

How To Become A Member
Contact the Odyssey House at 413-538-4377 to schedule a tour and complete a referral form. Referrals are available here on website or visit in person to pick up at Odyssey House Monday-Friday between 8am and 4pm. Tours are available Monday through Friday during hours of operation.
Our Success Stories
My name is Mikey and this is my story.
March of 2019 RiverValley was closing Its door for good, I was confused and worried about what will I do next.
Then one day right before they closed Odyssey was asked to come in and speak about their program and all they had to offer. I was excited and eager to go and visit Odyssey.
Once I went to visit Odyssey I signed up for services and started attending right away. I tried out the hospitality but found out my passion was the admin unit. In the admin unit I help with data entry, removing trash and wiping down the unit.
A few years later and I’m proud to say I’m an active member at Odyssey and volunteer for the past couple years at St Paul’s church. I’m looking forward to working part-time soon.

I Started Odyssey House in September of 2015. I went through K-12 and did not pass my biology MCAS and in September of 2022 I went back to school and in September of 2023 I received a phone call from the principal of the school stating that I passed my MCAS. June 2024, I received my diploma.
